About the event

2026 Leadership Learning Cycles

You know where you want your school to go. Leadership Learning Cycles give you and your team the dedicated time, coaching, and peer support to start getting there.

Choose one of four paths, work on a real problem of practice, and leave with a prototype you can actually use. No theory for theory’s sake. Just focused, practical work alongside other North Dakota leaders who are figuring it out too.

Choose Your Path

🤖 Leading with AI in Mind (Part I)

How can AI enhance what educators already do well, and what needs to be in place at the building level to support them?

Investigate emerging AI tools and design prototypes for classroom practices that use AI. You’ll also look at building-wide approaches for responsible

use, transparency, and intentional design.

📊 Aligning Grading Practices to Your Shared Vision (Part I

How might your grading practices better align with your vision for personalized learning?

Through a reflective, step-by-step process, your team will examine current grading practices, build agreement on where you want to go, and set priorities for prototyping new approaches.

🧭 Portrait of a Leader (Part I)

How do you lead a learning system through real change?

Explore the Portrait of a Leader (2nd edition), a resource created by educators nationwide, and reflect on the skills and dispositions it takes to lead and sustain innovative schools. You choose the focus areas that matter most for you.

🎯 Personalized Choice: Go Deeper After a Network Workshop

Did you attend (or are you planning to attend) a recent NDPLN Learning Workshop? This option lets your team dig further into that topic with a specific focus.

·       Fall Learning Workshop: Continuum of Learning

·       Winter Learning Workshop: Relevant Learning

Who should join: Principals, assistant principals, district leaders, instructional coaches, and leadership teams. Teams are encouraged.
